Blue Heron Imports was established in 1991, in the rural
community of Jacksonville, Vermont about a half hour south of Mt. Snow,
a well known ski resort. Over the years we turned the Heron into
a moderately successful business, and were thankful to have a venue to
introduce inventory whch reflected our philosophy of a global community
drawn together through art and vision. We have made many friendships
along the way.
We offered, and still do, many unusual and one of a kind items from
around the world, Real Native American Jewelry, Tibetan and Buddhist
ritual items, Textiles from India, Beautiful carved boxes from Poland,
Books and Music, Tarot Cards, Feng Shui Items, Hand Blown Glass Tobacco
Accessories, Candles and more. We then added some fun things like
Body Jewelry, lots of inexpensive Silver, Puzzles and Games. We
also have a Dog and Cat department where you can find many books on
Natural Health for your pet. We donate a percentage of our
profits from these items to the local Humane Society.
Many of the items you will see on this site are re-orderable, while
some are one of a kind which we have found in our travels and are
delighted to offer to you.
It has always been our policy to purchase from fair trade groups or
directly from the Craftsman whenever possible. This insures high
quality and prompt service.
We take this opportunity to thank all of our loyal customers and to
invite all our new friends to examine a small sampling of our
